Welcome to my blog, new readers on Medium and my website!

Welcome back, Substack readers!

I’ve been having a hectic life, honestly. Exam season kicked in since September and it continued nonstop until the end of May.

Since then, I’ve had to shift schools, curricula, and I’ve started studying new subjects. It’s taken a bit of time to get used to this!

But I’m back. I’m back to making stuff and talking about making stuff and I’m really excited for everything that’s up ahead!

So here’s my plan.

I now have a website that is the center of all my operations. All the work that I make goes up there. It’s going to act as a kind of portfolio for everything that I do and it’ll be a really good reminder of everything that I’ve done.

Now let’s talk about the creative stuff.

1. Blog

The blog is back! Readers rejoice!

The blog will have similar aims and ideas to the previous one, but will focus a bit more on music. I’ll still talk about concepts that I have thoughts about, and things I’ve learnt, but I’ll also introduce album and song reviews.

It will be hosted on Substack, Medium, and my website.

2. Music

Music is also in the works right now. I’m working on a new album (subscribe for more details!) that I’m super excited about, and it should be out in a month or so.

Details of which will be out soon, right here! Stay tuned!

3. YouTube

Anyone who follows my YouTube would have noticed that I private-d all my videos.

This is just temporary! All new, improved videos are coming soon!

These videos will focus predominantly on music and music production, and will be mostly short-form. I’ll focus on short-form video for a while, after which I’ll transition to making long-form content too. I might stream a bit too, once I get around to it.

This will also host my podcast!

4. Podcast

A new entry!

The podcast is basically going to be the blog in audio form. I’ll talk about the things I’ve learnt, album reviews, interesting news, song reviews, and other things in the podcast.

It’ll be a bit more… off the cuff and improv-style, but it’ll be cool! The first episode should be out this week (hopefully). Search for “Internalize with Mukund Shyam”!

Maybe I’ll talk about how I made a podcast sometime!

5. Games

I read a Verge article recently, where I got to know about a service called Bitsy.

Bitsy is basically a software (web app?) that lets you make (somewhat basic) games.

I’ll try to make a few games every now and then and upload it to itch.io, as the concept of Bitsy games seems to be just interactive videos.

The games will be RPG-style and will riff off things I’ve felt, thought of, and talked about.

6. Photography

Another new entry! I’ve started something interesting that I hope you guys will enjoy too!

I’ve decided to take at least one photo everyday, and I’ll share those photos with you at the end of the week!
